I traveled through the ancient land of the Burren in County Clare, Ireland, where storytelling, folklore and myth abound. Stone walls lead to unexpected vistas as well as to dead ends. In the Beara Peninsula, I danced among standing stones and listened to an inner music as I dreamed of those who danced before me in that very place.

In this series, a banshee plays an important role: usually the harbinger of death. But I view her presence as a rebirth, facing my fears and racing towards a new chapter of spiritual awakening, creativity, and the joy of living.

The collages in this series form a stage where I play all the roles. They are created in my camera using an intervalometer and in Photoshop using layer masks. They are little narratives that punctuate the greater landscape of the West of Ireland, where my heart resides.
